Jamie began his magic career late in life compared to most Magicians.  When Jamie was twenty years old, he witnessed what he considered to be the "The best Magic I have ever seen in my whole life!".  Jamie is referring to his first visit to Magic Island in Houston, Texas where he saw Master Magician Lance Burton perform his award winning act.  Mr. Burton had just won first place at the World Championship of Magic competition (FISM).  It was this performance that created the spark that would become a lifelong obsession!

Shortly after this first Magical experience, Jamie found himself seeing Magic performed live by chance in the streets of San Antonio and the comedy clubs of Houston.  He then stumbled upon Frankel's Costume and Magic shop where he purchased his first Magic trick.  Jamie performed this trick for anyone who would watch.  Everyone who witnessed this trick would then ask "What else can you do?".  Jamie then went on to learn everything he could about Magic from books, videos and live Magic lectures from professional Magicians.  Jamie also took private lessons from  World Champion Magician Vito Lupo.

Jamie frequented a local restaurant where he would perform his Magic for the owner.  The owner was so impressed with Jamie's Magic that he asked Jamie to perform for his guests while their meals were being prepared.  Jamie spent one year performing weekly at the restaurant refining his sleight of hand skills.  It was during this part of his early career that Jamie was asked to perform at a party for Harry Anderson of television's Night Court fame.  Harry Anderson is an accomplished comedy Magician and is a favorite among Magicians.  This event paired Jamie with the Entertainment Director at Magic Island for assistance with hiring more Magicians for the party.

This meeting with the Entertainment Director caught the directors attention of Jamie's abilities as a Magician as well as his communication skills.  The Entertainment Director hired Jamie as a back-up performer at Magic Island.  Jamie quickly moved into a lead position as a House Magician of Magic Island. 

Jamie performed regularly at the dinner theater for over twelve years.  During his twelve years at Magic Island, Jamie performed as many as over fifty performances in one week!  This high volume of performances allowed Jamie to perfect his sleight of hand skills.  Using these skills and experience acquired performing at Magic Island, Jamie would go on to win first place in the Sleight of Hand category at one of the nations largest Magic conventions in 1992!

Jamie's Magic career so far has allowed him to perform for American and foreign presidents, royalty, celebrities and Fortune 500 companies.  He is now looking forward to performing for you!
